Sándor was thirteen years old when they were transferred with the other Jews from Tárnok to the ghetto in Bicske and then to Komárom on 5 June. The deportation train left from there for Auschwitz-Birkenau, where they probably arrived on 17 June 1944. Sándor was killed in one of the gas chambers together with his mother, Mrs. Gizella Zubekné Kern, her sister Rosa and her son József Rosenbaum.
