At the age of 7, Zoltán and his family moved to the Felsőgalla ghetto at the end of May 1944. His brother Miklós, 14, was taken by the gendarmes to an unknown destination. Zoltán and his parents were taken to Komárom on 8 June and deported on the second train. They probably arrived in Auschwitz-Birkenau on 17 June, where they were killed the same day.
