In April 1944, the Jews of Nagyszalonta were transported to a Nagyvárad collection camp that was set up in a timber yard. Probably they were deported to Auschwitz-Birkeneu in the second part of May. The six-year-old girl was murdered by the Nazis with her mother (Adél Erbstein, 32) and grandmother (68).
