Veronika’s family lived at 1 Erzsébet Street in Debrecen, but she was Born on the day of her family’s transfer to the local ghetto, on 6 May 1944. Together with her mother, she was deported from Debrecen to KL Auschwitz-Birkenau at the end of June 1944, and both of them were killed in a gas chamber upon their arrival.
