December 1944 – January 1945
Éva was born in December 1944 in Budapest. Her father was deported and never returned. Éva was sent with her mother to the ghetto, to the house at 20 Dob Street. According to surviving relatives, Éva cried all the time because her mother had run out of milk from starvation and could not feed her. The few-week-old girl died of starvation within a few days. Her mother survived the siege, started a new family and emigrated to Israel.
