Újpest, 1935 – Auschwitz-Birkenau, 11 July 1944
Goldschmied Zsuzsa and her younger sister, Erika, were transported from the Újpest ghetto to the Budakalász brick factory early July 1944. From there they were deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau a couple of days later by the Hungarian authorities. The Nazis murdered them with their mother, Anna Kálmán upon arrival at Auschwizt-Birkenau. Zsuzsa was nine.
