Kató lived with her parents (father: Bergstein, later Balázs Ödön) in Szombathely, 23 Kis kar Street until they were forced into the local ghetto. The little girl was not yet three years old when she died of thirst in the deportation cattle car on the way to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
