Haifa, 21 September 1935 – Auschwitz-Birkenau, 17 June 1944
Ruth’s parents emigrated to Palestine in the 1930s and their daughter was born there. They returned to Hungary in the 1930s. In mid-May 1944, they were imprisoned in a ghetto in and around the synagogue in Mosonmagyaróvár. On the morning of 6 June 1944, the gendarmes transferred the Jews of Mosonmagyaróvár to the Győr collection camp, from where they were soon deported Auschwitz-Birkenau. Upon arrival, the nine-year-old Ruth was killed in a gas chamber.
