Children of Saul

Realted profile: Tibor Glück

Győr, 1931 – Auschwitz-Birkenau, 17 June 1944.

József Glück and Jolán Rosenberg lived with their two young sons in Győr. In May 1944, the 35-year-old young woman and her two children were moved to the ghetto in Győr and then taken to the collection camp on Budai Road. The father was called up for labour service. The freight train carrying Jews from Győr and the surrounding area arrived at the Birkenau ramp on 17 June. Just under 400 women and men were selected for work. The rest were sent immediately to a gas chamber, where the Glück brothers and their mother were also killed.
