Children of Saul

Tibor Glück

Győr, January 1936 – Győr, January 1936

József Glück and Jolán Rosenberg lived with their two young sons in Győr. In May 1944, the 35-year-old young woman and her two children were moved to the ghetto in Győr and then taken to the collection camp on Budai Road. The father was called up for labour service. The freight train carrying Jews from Győr and the surrounding area arrived at the Birkenau ramp on 17 June. Just around 400 women and men were selected for work, the rest were sent immediately to the gas chambers, where the Glück brothers and their mother were also killed.
