Székesfehérvár, 16 February 1936 – Auschwitz-Birkenau, 12 or 16 June 1944
Eight-year-old András lived with his parents (József Berger and Allein Gabriella) in Székesfehérvár. In May 1944, the Jews living in the town were moved to so-called yellow star houses and then deported to the Szabó brick factory near the railway, together with Jews from other settlements in Fejér County. From here the deportation train left for Auschwitz-Birkenau on 10 June or – according to another source – 14 June. After arrival, András and his mother were killed in a gas chamber. Their execution most probably took place on 12 or 16 June 1944.
