He and his parents lived at 6 Jókai Street in Debrecen, from where they were sent to the Debrecen ghetto in mid-May 1944. On 16 June 1944, they were sent to the local brick factory assembly camp, from where the family was deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau at the end of June 1944. András perished in a concentration camp in Germany, the circumstances of his death are unknown.
